The more I read romance, the more I realize that us parents can really screw up our kids. Josie Adkins is a very smart girl who is working her residency as a orthopedic surgeon. Her father wanted her to be a surgeon and since he died when Josie was young she is working very very hard to fulfil that. Dr. Houston Hayes is your typical focused, professional perfectionist who has worked all his life on maintain control. He is a top notch surgeon who is now Josies boss. Houston’s dad left his family when Houston was young hence the “need” to remain detached and controlled in his life.
Houston, We have a Problem-Erin McCarthy
Triple Play-Rhyannon Byrd
Jonah has decided to shake up his brooding friend Gabriel by bringing their assistant Denny (Denise) Abbott to him as a birthday present. Gabriel has been secretly lusting after Denny for a long time and the feeling is definately mutual. Jonah shakes up Gabriel with his “present” and things between the three will never be the same.
This Ellora’s Cave book is primarily a detailed accounting of a nonstop one night sexfest between two male friends and an assistant in their office. There were some other slight plot items interspersed throughout the book but I mainly skipped over them as they were very short and could not be developed properly.
Dark Side of the Moon-Sherrilyn Kenyon
I am in love the Dark Hunter series and make sure I get a copy as soon as humanly possible. I received this one two days ago and immediately moved it to the top of my to be read pile. I just finished it and I am feeling very sad. I have to admit that though this was a good book, it just didn’t strike me as being from the same author. Did some Diamon steal Kenyon’s soul leaving her to write a good but not great novel? If I had to describe this novel I would say it lacks soul.
On Thin Ice-Cherry Adair
Another Wright brothers novel. Derek has had a thing for Lily Munroe since she married his scumbag of a so called friend Sean. Sean has passed away from terminal cancer and Derek has set out to win Lily. During the way two different plots are thrown into their path.
I think I am getting tired of the I love you more than I can handle, and I know you are going to hurt me heroines. Yada, yada yada. There were some interesting action which kept me from getting totally annoyed with the book, but it is not as good as some of the earlier Wright books.
Undead and Unreturnable-Mary Janice Davidson
Or better titled: Undead and Unremarkable. I have to say I love the quips and dialogue in this book. There are some extremely funny comments which almost made the book worth reading, but sadly there was no real story or plot developement. I got the end of the very short (250 pages) book and cannot really figure out what I read about. Even the 250 pages is deceptive because there are 42 chapters. Add a bunch of empty space at the beginning and end of each chapter and you basically have a book with funny lines about nothing. Save your money and wait for paperback. This is a serial sized book for a hardback price.

Extreme Bachelor-Julia London
Second in a series about adventure loving men who created a company called Thrillseekers Anonymous. I missed the first but did not feel too disconnected from this one as it stands well alone.
Michael Raney is an ex CIA agent and partner in TA. Leah Klein is a struggling actress whom had a year long love affair with Michaal five years ago that ended suddenly when he breaks up with and disappears.
The story picks up with Leah working in Los Angeles on a new movie and Michael whom is working with TA are thrust together working on the movie.
Killing Time-Linda Howard
Nikta Stover is an FBI agent sent to investigate a missing time capsule that was buried in 1985. Knox Davis is the lead investigator and home town boy in Peke County, Kentucky who suspects that Nikta is not who she says she is. These two become deeply involved in the case when Nikta is shot at during the investigation. Why is someone trying to kill her, why are participants in the capsule’s burial being killed?
Dragonswan-Sherrilyn Kenyon
Kenyon is an autobuy for me so I quickly ordered this. I didn’t realize that it was a “collectors” editor of a short story from an anthology. I don’t like anthology’s and rarely buy them unless they are part of a series that I want to read. Channon MacRea is a student that has been studying an ancient Dragon Tapestry. She meets up with Sebastian at the museum housing the tapestry and they quickly pair up for the night.
CoverArt: I rank the cover as C.
