I am just wondering if it is worth getting the Harlequin by Hamilton. After the crap that was Danse Macabre, Mistral’s Kiss and Micah I am even hesistant to put my name on the libary loan list for Harlequin.
So far the Amazon reviews seem positive (4 stars) and say the old Anita is back. Dare I have hope???? Is there light at the end of the tunnel.
So is Anita a totally kick-ass bitch or are we still suffering through Anita the magnificant and her oh-so awesome vagina. Anyone read it yet???

I am not a fan of short stories and anthologies so I was at first disappointed when I started reading this story and realized that it was a compliation of three couples. However that disappointed soon faded. The story is laid out with a chapter or two focusing on one couple, then switches to another for a chapter or two. This style kept me reading late into the night because I wanted to know how things were progressing. I still would have prefered each couple get a more involved story, but this was a fun series of quickies.

Super funny and a great quick read.
Ethan Carrick is a vampire who owns a casino and happens to be the president of vampires. It is an election year and he has been advised to settle down and take a wife. He thinks he finds her in bubbly, sweet dentist Brittany Baldizzi. Brittany’s sister Alexis is the polar opposite to Brittnay, she is light to her dark, tough to Britt’s sweetness. She is also determined to save her sister from being kidnapped. What she doesn’t expect is to fall for Ethan, who of course is turned on by Alexis instead of Brittany.

Magic Study is the second in Snyders Fantasy series. As with the first in the series, Poison Study, I listed to the audiobook from audible.com. I am on a new fitness kick and enjoy listening to audio books while sweating and huffing on the elipical trainer. (I know not a pretty picture).
Back to the story. Having found her true family in the first story, Yelena Zaltana is headed home to control and learn more about her Magic. Meeting up with her clan and immediate family produces mixed results as she uncovers what happened to her as a child.

I love this series and had no trouble pulling an all nighter to finish number 7 in the series. However I am unsure if an all nighter was very wise. My poor sleep deprived brain is left with the feeling that I really missed some things or that I am not very good at connecting point A to point B to resolution.
There is a whole LOT happenin between these pages and I am not going to go into a synoposis of the story because I still think I am lost in the middle. I know how it started, and I know how it ended, but how did we get there? If you have not read any Sookies books, don’t start here.
