You Slay Me - Katie MacAlister
I have been moving through my backlist of Katie MacAlister books and picked this one up cause I love dragons. I loved it…
This is a series about Aisling Grey who finds out she is a Guardian (Keeper to the Gates to Hell) a demon lord (to a rejected demon in Newfie dog form — I love those dogs) and a wyvern’s mate (Head honocho dragon’s mate) all in a short time.
If you like the Undead series by MaryJanice Davidson you should also like this one. Take a smart but ditzy blond, give her tons of power that she has no clue how to use, throw in a hot guy who literally makes her blood boil and you have Aisling Grey.
Drake Vireo (The Green Dragon) is the wyvern for his sept. He is domineering and irrating to Aisling. He also covets gold treasure. In the opening of the book he steals a relic from Aisling and is surprised when she tracks him down to recover it.
I wonder why this series doesn’t get as much attention as the Undead series. There are some great characters such as Jim the furry demon, Rene the taxi driver, Istvan and Pal, Drakes bodyguards.

When you get the chance, you should pick up the 3′rd book in this series. There is a nice twist at the end.
I have the third here in my TBR pile. Will have to pull it out.
