Third in the Crimson City series, this book focuses on the demon world. Mika is half demon and half human who has been asked by the demon counsel to find a important object from Conor McCabe. Conor is also half demon and half human and trusts no one.
Though I didn’t like this as much as the other two that I have read it was still a good entry. I have not read her before and will probably look for other novels by her. Mika was portrayed as a demon with a sense of humor and of course Conor was the opposite, brooding his mixed heritage, rejecting his inner demon and not trusting at all.
Having just finished You Slay Me, I knew I immediately wanted to read this second on the series.
A month has past since Aisling left Paris and Drake. Since she is so clearly inadequate as a guardian she has decided to attend a conference to find a mentor in the Guardian Trade. She travels to Budapest to attend an otherworld conference. Wouldn’t you know it that Drake just so happens to be in the same hotel conducting peace negotions between the four dragon septs.
I have been moving through my backlist of Katie MacAlister books and picked this one up cause I love dragons. I loved it…
This is a series about Aisling Grey who finds out she is a Guardian (Keeper to the Gates to Hell) a demon lord (to a rejected demon in Newfie dog form — I love those dogs) and a wyvern’s mate (Head honocho dragon’s mate) all in a short time.
If you like the Undead series by MaryJanice Davidson you should also like this one. Take a smart but ditzy blond, give her tons of power that she has no clue how to use, throw in a hot guy who literally makes her blood boil and you have Aisling Grey.
Having read every Hamilton, Anita Blake book I was thrilled to be one of the first on the long paperbackswap wish list for this one. I cracked it open as soon as it arrived and quickly read it in one sitting.
It is more of a short story than a novel. I cannot say that I have enjoyed the last few of the Blake series and this is just more of the same.
As I have recently started reading through the backlist of Katie MacAlister I picked this book not knowing the storie contents. I realized quickly that it is Regency.
