How to Marry a Millionaire Vampire-Kerrelyn Sparks1

Roman Draganesti is a vampire/ex monk who has spent the last 500 years brooding because he is now a “Demon from Hell”. (Kind of Angel like). In what I think is the best part of the book, he bites into “Vanna White” and loses one of his fangs. Needing to get the fang replaced before his body tries to heal without it, he finds an all night dentist.

A Stroke of Midnight-Laurell-K-Hamilton1

Having enjoyed (somewhat less each time) the Merry Gentry series I was thrilled when I reserved this book at my local library and within 3 days it was in. I should have known that perhaps it was in because it really was not that good. I am pretty disappointed in this one.

I read the reviews summarizing that the books is all sex and basically no plot. What plot? is right. A double homicide that basically falls flat in the end, almost to the point that the conclusion was forgotten and thrown in the last page at the final edit. Oops we forgot about the murders, better throw in a one paragraph mention.

Mind Game-Christine Feehan0

The second on Feehan’s “Ghostwalker” series. Nicolas Trevane was presented in the first GhostWalker series as a deadly and quiet warrior. Dahlia Le Blanc was one of the children who had been “enhanced” with powers and experiemented on by Dr. Whitney. She was portrayed as extreme dangerous because she can manipulate energy and gravity.

Lily Whitney has sent Nicolas out to find Dahlia and help her cope with her gifts. She has always thought she was alone in the world and has lived most of her life in solitude. With the exception of the “special work” she does for a splinter group of government, she is unable to function in public because of her dangerous reactions.

Eleven on Top -Janet Evanovich0

The 11th in the Stephanie Plum series.

I have to say I liked this one more than the past two. Lots of laugh out load continuous action. Stephanie continues to lead her men around by their noses (and other private parts). As usual she looses vehicles, gets knocked around, eats plenty of junk food and basically proceeds to the be in the wrong place at the wrong time even though she has given up on working as a bond enforcement agent. To sum it up:

Return of the Warrior-Kinley MacGregor0

2nd in the Brotherhood of the Sword series, this story is about Christian of Acre. Christian has been given the nickname of Abbott due to his childhood background. He was left with monks by his parents when he was young.

Adara is the queen of her kingdom, Tagaria. At a very early age she was given in marriage to the Elgederion prince-regent whom was a boy himself. After the prince’s parents were killed many years later, the prince himself was rumored to be dead. Ardara does not believe this and decides to find her wayward husband (who doesn’t know he is married) and drag him back home by the hair to resume his role of King. (Can you guess by now that Christian is that prince?)
